About the event
ADUMBRATIO is a chapter of MINORIA devoted to the moment before form becomes fixed. The Latin term adumbratio evokes an outline, a shadow, a first emergence — a state in which something is already present, but not yet fully defined.
Presented at A Space Gallery in Venice, the exhibition shifts attention from the finished object toward processes of becoming: structures altered by touch, images that appear and disappear, light passing through matter, and shadows that redraw space.
Incompleteness is not treated as absence. It becomes a condition of possibility. The work does not conclude a process; it keeps the process active.
ADUMBRATIO forms part of the international curatorial programme developed across ORAC Gallery and A Space Gallery.
