About the event
LUMEN ABSCONDITUM — hidden light — marks another threshold within MINORIA: the point at which presence is not shown directly, but disclosed through what it illuminates.
The exhibition at A Space Gallery in Venice is conceived around video, projection, reflected light and image in motion. Light becomes less a tool of visibility than an event: it appears through surfaces, interruptions, shadows and residual traces.
What remains hidden is not necessarily absent. It may persist as latency — as an image before recognition, a signal before interpretation, or a presence registered only through its effects.
LUMEN ABSCONDITUM forms part of the international curatorial programme developed across ORAC Gallery and A Space Gallery.
